Gigya’s robust infrastructure guarantees unprecedented performance and scalability with continuous data backup and constant protection.

State-of-the-Art Hosting

Gigya employs a multiple regional data center strategy that enables the best possible customer experiences for all of our clients’ international users while maintaining industry-leading standards for data protection and privacy.

Gigya owns and operates its main US server farm, hosted by one of the top data center providers in the world, Equinix. Equinix data centers are fully equipped with generator-backed UPS and redundant HVAC systems, as well as fire suppression, flood control and seismic bracing solutions to protect your data in the event of a power outage or natural disaster. The data centers also enforce high security protocol, including 24×7 armed guards, multiple biometric checkpoints and full CCTV surveillance.

In 2016, Gigya opened another primary data center within the Russian Federation. With hardware wholly owned and operated by Gigya, this facility enables our clients with Russian customers to comply with that government’s data residency requirements while ensuring that attributes stored in Russia remain discrete from all other international data.

Gigya also hosts a virtual data center in Ireland for European companies that prefer to store their data within the EU, and a second virtual data center in Sydney, Australia is available for the APAC market. A full disaster recovery environment for the US server farm is also maintained.

Gigya supports full disaster recovery in the rare case of a data center outage. This includes real-time data replication to a separate physical location and transfer of critical data on-premise to provide continuous service and transparent recovery, with no data loss, in the case of hardware failure.

Gigya’s platform was designed to scale horizontally on commodity hardware. Servers never exceed 20% utilization under normal circumstances, providing 5x capacity reserves in order to accommodate unforeseen spikes in traffic. Our performance is proven by our regular handling of large bursts of traffic during some clients’ live and breaking news events, and the many enterprise companies leveraging our platform to manage tens of millions of user identities.
