On June 15th, 2017, Forrester Research published their inaugural Wave report on the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) industry, scoring a total of eight vendors including Salesforce, Microsoft, Gigya, Janrain, Ping Identity ForgeRock, Auth0 and LoginRadius. The report presents a number of key capabilities for managing customer identity, based on two main objectives for a successful CIAM implementation:

  • The ability to deliver an optimal customer experience while managing customers’ consent and preferences
  • Support for the highest possible level of data privacy and security to prevent fraud and enable compliance with shifting global data regulations
