If preparing for the May 25th GDPR deadline is a top priority for your business, (and it should be!) be sure to check out the latest episode of The CX Show podcast (formerly SAP Hybris LIVE), on which I was proud to be the sole guest. The episode: “Trust is the Ultimate Currency,” is available now on iTunes, or by following this link.
The CX Show is hosted by Johann Wrede, Global Vice President, Audience, Brand & Content for SAP Hybris, and this guy really knows how to stoke a great conversation. During some lively back and forth, Johanne and I dug into the implications of the GDPR, and together explored how marketers should actually embrace the regulation’s requirements as a guideline to help them build more meaningful, trust-based relationships with their customers, then use that earned trust to differentiate in their markets.
No matter your current relationship with this landmark privacy law, I think our brief conversation makes a great overview on how to approach GDPR preparations from a business perspective, and will at the least get you thinking about the future of marketing, sales, product development, and customer experience as a whole in a new age of consumer privacy.
Also, check out my recent blog post outlining the key takeaways from the episode, which was recently the lead story on SAP Hybris’ Future of Customer Experience and Commerce website.
To pick up even more GDPR learnings, check out our recent webinar, “It’s Go Time. Is Your Digital Strategy Mature Enough for GDPR?”, featuring Martin Kuppinger, President and Principal analyst, KuppingerCole, along with Gigya’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Rashmi Vittal.
