Businesses who treat customers as individuals, not generic sales opportunities, are gaining a competitive advantage across industries and regions. To help you achieve this goal, SAP Customer Data Cloud from Gigya is constantly innovating and packing new functionality into our customer data management products and solutions.
Recently, I joined Adrian Nash, head of product for SAP Customer Data Cloud, to present a Q3 Product Update webinar. Let’s look at the new product capabilities we’ve added during the last quarter.
Extensibility for SAP Customer Identity
As clients implement SAP Customer Identity, their digital strategy often demands unique requirements. Whether it’s maintaining a black list of email addresses, specific validation rules or real-time reporting of push notification sign-ups, every customer needs maximum extensibility to derive the most value out of their identity solution.
With a new, powerful update, customers can create unique logic flows in SAP Customer Identity Extensions. This can speed time-to-market and reduce deployment risk for custom applications and complex third-party integrations. It can also lower IT costs by creating economies of scale, since the extensions can be managed centrally and applied to new systems when needed.
Improvements to OpenID Connect Functionality
OpenID Connect is a protocol for authenticating users, built on top of the OAuth 2.0 authorization framework. It enables our clients to allow their customers to use trusted login credentials with other partners and brands in their ecosystem.
Now, our clients can define custom claims and scopes in OpenID Connect. The end result: clients who use OpenID Connect are gaining out-of-the-box support for more use cases, which means their customers will enjoy more seamless and secure sign-in experiences across digital properties.
Consent Vault in the Identity Access Console
Our Identity Access console provides clients with a full view of their customers. In the past year, we’ve updated the console several times to make this view more powerful, actionable and helpful.
We’ve recently enabled quicker access to the customer’s consent vault by displaying it within their Identity Access profile. This helps our clients better respond to consent-related requests from customers and auditors through visual access to consent histories, presented in user-friendly timeline formats.
Preference Centers for Lite Accounts
It’s no secret that customers are increasingly demanding more control over the data collected from them. If your brand can offer this control effectively, customers will trust you more and choose your products or services over the competition.
Through our recent update to SAP Customer Consent, our clients can now enable lite registration users to control their communications preferences with preference centers for passwordless lite accounts, helping to build trust earlier in the customer journey.
The webinar explored these updates and several more, including:
- Updates for connectors to SAP Marketing Cloud and SAP Commerce Cloud, as well as expanded integrations with applications and services outside the SAP ecosystem
- Enhancements to our two-factor authentication workflows, including the addition of Google Authenticator as a TFA option
- The ability to audit the “right to be forgotten” in SAP Customer Consent
Watch the replay and dive into the details of all this new functionality!
