Why You Should Pay Attention to Marketing Technology

Earlier this week I appeared on The First Ever List of Female Marketing Technologists. I’m honored to stand among the smartest and brightest leaders in the industry.

I think back to the early days of marketing technology and the women who paved the way, like Jill Rowley, Maria Pergolino, and Corinne Sklar.

Martech has come a long way since the days of just sending automated emails. It’s exciting to see all the innovation and new platforms that make it easier to generate demand and increase revenue.

As the Director of Demand Generation and Marketing Operations here at Gigya, I have a front row seat to witnessing the evolving needs of marketers. From web personalization to providing customers with seamless omni-channel experiences, the demand for more sophisticated marketing technology grows by the day.

And as market demands change – like the new requirement to meet compliance for the EU General Data Protection Regulation – marketing technologies need to be able balance customer experience with privacy and security.
