Gigya’s Worldwide Audience Surges 27 Percent in Q2 to 258M

82 Percent Cumulative Growth in Unique User Reach YOY, U.S. and Worldwide

PALO ALTO, CA – June 22, 2009 – Gigya, Inc., the standard for connecting content and users with the social web, today announced growth figures that show Gigya’s network now reaches nearly one-third of all web users worldwide. According to comScore’s Extended Measures Report, Gigya now reaches 258.3 million unique users worldwide and 85.8 million unique users in the U.S.  This represents a 27 percent increase since Q1 2009, and an 82 percent increase since June 2008.

“We’ve experienced accelerated adoption of our technology as the standard for sharing content across all platforms, and comScore’s report reflects that” said David A. Yovanno, CEO, Gigya. “The numbers underscore Gigya’s success delivering innovative technology that makes it easy for publishers to distribute and monetize their content, and provides advertisers with a scalable way to get brand-generated content into the conversations happening on Facebook, Twitter and beyond.”

In less than two years, Gigya’s Wildfire technology has become the standard for easily distributing and tracking content across the social web, enabling users to share and consume it no matter where they spend time online. Now Gigya’s Socialize platform is revolutionizing the web experience for publishers and consumers by making both content and advertising “social.”

In May, Turner Sports implemented Gigya’s Socialize technology to make it easy for fans to engage with friends from the top three social networks while watching the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on TNT.tv. NBA fans from social networks MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter were able to message with friends during the series. Fan updates about the game drove engagement on the TNT.tv site, and were also published to the newsfeeds of Facebook, MySpace and Twitter users, effectively promoting the event real-time to their networks of friends and driving traffic back to TNT.com.  Turner reported positive results from the use of Gigya’s Socialize technology during the NBA series and has also implemented Socialize for the NASCAR summer series with “Race Buddy” on NASCAR.com.

“As more and more time is spent on social networks, publishers are under siege to increase user engagement and ad revenue across all channels,” said Yovanno.  “Gigya’s technologies are changing the game for them.”
