The Italian Style: Gigya and Noovle

Italy is a country with primarily small-to-medium companies, with some excellent brands that are known worldwide.  While the economic scenario is quite fragmented, with the main players concentrated in northern and central Italy, there is a common denominator: Digital Innovation. Undoubtedly, this is the primary shift the country’s consumer economy is experiencing.

According to a survey by the Polytechnic University of Milan, the overall state of industry is positive, with more than a third of Italian companies having already started or currently developing new projects based on innovative digital technologies within verticals such as the Industrial Internet of Things, Industrial Analytics, Cloud Solutions, Advanced Automation and Advanced Human Machine Interface.

Meanwhile, Customer Identity And Access Management (CIAM) is a key issue for businesses, according to Forrester’s Global Business Technographics Priorities and Journey Survey, 2015 — conducted with 14,596 decision-makers located in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, New Zealand, UK, and the U.S. In the survey, Forrester states that “Customers now have unprecedented control over the success of a firm; social media has given them a powerful voice, while online and mobile technology enables them to make more informed choices and to decide where and when they buy products and service.”

Noovle was awarded Solution Provider of the Year in 2015 by Gigya, and has helped successfully implement Customer Identity Management for some notable brands, including Touring Club Italiano and Condé Nast.

Touring Club Italiano

Touring Club has been promoting their own brand of tourism for more than a century. In 2014, this quite traditional company made the decision to restyle their website and to integrate Gigya’s platform to manage traditional and social registration and login as well as digital interaction with their users. The result? The number of users on the site rapidly tripled, and a robust travelers’ community was developed and continues to be nurtured.

Condé Nast Italia

Condé Nast Italia adopted Gigya’s Identity Management solution over a year ago when they launched the new version of the online fashion tastemaker portal Glamour.it. For the staff managing the site — which is focused primarily on beauty, fashion and style — it was crucial to find a technology that could support profiling and identifying consumers’ habits and preferences. As of today, five of Condé Nast’s most popular brands rely on Gigya for their customer identity management needs.
