Gigya Offers Log In With PayPal for One-Step Checkouts

Yesterday, PayPal announced major upgrades to Log In with PayPal, which allows users to save their payment credentials with PayPal for a more streamlined shopping experience on participating third-party commerce sites. Log In with PayPal eliminates the need for consumers to re-enter their payment information when making an online purchase, acting as a secure commerce identity system that functions across all web properties within its partner network.

As a launch partner during the original launch of Log In with PayPal (formerly PayPal Access) in 2011, Gigya is proud to offer the updated product to our ecommerce clients. While the online retail market continues to evolve, we believe that this type of payment identity system will provide tremendous value to businesses and online shoppers alike by making registration and payments quicker, easier, and more secure.

One highlight of Log In With PayPal is its functionality across mobile sites. In the past, many online retailers suffered from high shopping cart abandonment rates because mobile users became tired of filling out multiple forms and juggling several passwords. With Log In With PayPal, customers simply enter a mobile number and pin–or username and password–to access their payment information and make purchases on their mobile devices.

Log In with PayPal currently works in both U.S. and international markets.
