That is why we are proud to announce that on Monday, August 15, Gigya passed a rigorous initial audit and was certified as compliant with ISO/IEC 27001 and 27018:2014, the latest standard from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification indicates Gigya’s ability as a public cloud provider to protect consumers’ Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Auditors claimed that our implementation of the standard was “flawless”.
With this certification, Gigya joins digital giants such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft as early adopters of this stringent standard. The certification confirms that Gigya has a robust system of controls in place that specifically addresses the privacy protection of end users’ personal data. With cybercrime on the rise and the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) set to take effect in May 2018, the ability to secure consumers’ data and ensure that their privacy is respected has never been so important.
